5 Day - BOILER OPERATIVE ACCREDITATION SCHEME (B0AS)

In association with Combustion Engineering Association, GASTEC and Carbon Trust, the course is designed to provide knowledge of current legislative and environmental requirements. The Cochran course consists of four days of lectures and an exam covering the material from the lectures. Upon passing delegates will receive the qualification of Certified Industrial Boiler Operative with the designation Cert IBO.  The Certificate is valid for 5 years, but we recommend refresher training be taken.

2 Day - BOILER OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE (BOM)

This course is designed primarily for Boiler Operators, Maintenance Staff, Plant Technicians and engineers. This an intensive course designed to provide a thorough grounding in the everyday operation and maintenance of boilers, burners and boiler auxiliary equipment. The course also covers all relevant Health and Safety issues, fault identification and emergency situations. The ultimate aim of the course to make sure that the plant can be operated safely, efficiently and economically.

1 Day - BOILER OPERATION & SAFETY AWARENESS (BOSA)

This course is designed for personnel responsible for attending to boiler plant. It would also be useful to personnel responsible for matters relating to Health and Safety and for anyone within your company who required a comprehensive overview of the efficient operation of boiler plant. This training course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the everyday operation of boiler plant. It covers essential daily and weekly routines, boiler fittings, water treatment, combustion, emergencies and Health and Safety issues.

1 Day – HEALTH & SAFETY IN THE BOILERHOUSE (HSB)

This is a 1-day course, either on site or at Cochran Training centre designed to cover all health and safety regulations within your Boilerhouse: - Noise at Work, Asbestos, Manual Handling, Working at Height, Lone Working, Cosh Regulations & Safety Data Sheets and Confined Space regulations.  We also cover Electricity at Work, Risk Assessments & Method Statements as part of the course.
